Since I was little, I have been drawn to words. I spent most of my time as a child with a book in one hand and often a pencil and paper in the other.
I am the most me that I can be when I am near a book or pouring my heart into a story. Being able to create, whether it be storytelling or content creation, gives my life purpose.
This blog has known many names, from Carrageously to My Darling Bookshelf, but neither of these titles ever truly encapsulated who I am or all of the things that I am passionate about.
In this space, you will find my digital journal — my thoughts, daily life, book reviews, interviews with fellow creatives, mood boards, as well as anything and everything that excites me.
So whether you are a new face or an old friend, welcome and thank you for being here. xx

more about me
Favorite authors
Although my palette has changed over the years, I am most often drawn to the thriller genre. Some of my favorite authors include Lars Kepler, Lisa Jewell, Ruth Ware, and Agatha Christie to name a few. While in-between thrillers, I also love contemporary fiction and am drawn to authors like Sally Rooney and Taylor Jenkins Reid.
home
I graduated from East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Political Science. I now live in Charlotte, North Carolina, with my husband, Jake, our golden retriever, Beaufort, and Bentley, our black lab. We love to host friends and family at our home, so you will catch us grilling out or enjoying a local brewery on most weekends.
A FEW MORE THINGS
I love my morning coffee, traveling, and a good book. Alongside my blog, my freelance work, and my current manuscript, I work full-time in a local marketing agency.
I am fueled by creativity and find inspiration in nature, in writing, and in exploring new places.
